Ghost Recon Now for Free

FileShack has the original Ghost Recon up for download for free. Ubisoft is really giving people a good value with their older games.

Intel Reveals More About 80 Core Chip

TG Daily has an article detailing Intel's Tera-scale project. It is an 80 core chip that could revolutionize the Cpu industry. Kinda makes that new quad processor look a little sickly.

Firewire and Samba in Haiku OS

Haiku, the reconstructed BeOS, has gained Firewire support thanks to Google's Summer of Code and JiSheng Zhang. Also, Samba 3.0 has been ported by Troeglazov Gerasim. This is great news for the open source os. Haiku gets better every day.

More Free Games

Santa is getting an early start this year. As if Ubisoft's free games weren't enough, EA is giving away the original Command & Conquer for free. This is the Windows XP compatible version that has been released in the Command & Conquer : The First Decade DVD anthology. You can get it here.

Ubisoft Games for Free

Ubisoft is releasing three of it's older titles for the low cost of free. Like most things in life, free isn't really free. The titles have in game advertising. Some people don't care for product placement, but I think I can live with a little of it. The three games are Far Cry, Prince of Persia The Sands of Time and Rayman Raving Rabbids. Get them at Fileplanet.
